Linda had been ill for some time before she went into Randwick. She was surprised as much by those who didn't visit or call as by those who did. Pamela Stephenson who had worked with Linda on 'Macbeth' was then in Melbourne but would send a series of chatty cards and letters
They had a man in common when they first met (Macbeth?), so Linda told me, but this initial animosity turned to friendship.
A few others sent flowers, Bet Lucas sent a postcard from Moscow.
